We're proud to share that our co-founder Dr. Edward W. Large was honored as a distinguished Neuroscientist at the 2024 Music Has Power® Symposium and Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF).

The event was held on November 20, 2024 at The Times Center in New York City, bringing together leading researchers, clinicians, and advocates working at the intersection of music, brain health, and therapeutic intervention.

The symposium's theme — "Music, Brain Health, and Music-Based Interventions in Senior Wellness and Healthcare" — featured three expert panel discussions covering the latest advances in music and brain health research, music therapy interventions, and music-based technologies for older adults. Also honored at the event was composer and musician Greg Barnhill.

Dr. Large was recognized for his decades of pioneering leadership in neuroscience — specifically his foundational research explaining how the brain processes rhythm and music, and how rhythm-based music therapy can benefit those with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.

This recognition reflects the growing scientific and clinical consensus around the therapeutic power of music — and validates the approach Oscillo Biosciences has been pursuing since its founding.
